Prospective students must apply for admission before they can submit a University of Calgary awards application. There are two award deadlines to keep in mind:

• December 15, 2016 for Prestige Awards such as our Chancellor’s Club Scholarships and Schulich School of Engineering Scholarship and Awards. These are their largest awards, valued up to $61,800. Interested students should also look into the Schulich Leaders Scholarships (valued up to $80,000).

• March 1, 2017 for all other competitive high school awards and bursaries. Note that if students submit their Prestige Awards application by December 15^th, they will automatically be considered for all high school awards – no need to apply twice!

UCalgary also offers scholarships that do not require an application, such as their President’s Admission Scholarship. In 2016, entering students with admission averages of 95% or higher received $4,000. For Fall 2017, they have increased the amount to $5,000. UCalgary also provides automatic awards to the top 20 incoming International Baccalaureate Diploma students.
